Once upon a time
two dictionaries met each other. They we really different and despite of another circumstances they would
never bump into
each other. The main difference
between them was that the first was dictionary of synonyms and the second of
the antonyms. Bur after first meeting they fall in love to each other. It was
indescribable feeling. Dictionaries were absolutely jubilant. They thought that they had found their
partners.
One day while
they were walking and enjoying company of each other they saw one girl. She was
really nervous about
something, but dictionaries didn’t noticed desperation
in her eyes. She was begging
to help her because she couldn’t solve a problem.
‘Please, help
me. I’m confused. I
can’t find the answer to one exercise and if I will not find the answer the witch
will punish me and, furthermore,
carry off all my
books. But I really
love reading’.
‘Don’t worry
‘said one dictionary ‘we will help you. tell us what do we need to do.’
‘Yes, but easier said than done. The witch said
that I must find 100 synonyms and 100 antonyms to each word. She gave me only
one hour during which I should work stubbornly. But now I have only 15 minutes and I did nothing. I think
it is pointless to
do something now, I don’t have enough time. Although, the library is closed.’
‘Please, keep calm. Remember one
point: “Never give up on
your dreams!” We can easily solve your problem. I’m dictionary of
synonyms and he is dictionary of antonyms. We can unite our knowledge and
abilities to protect you from that scary witch. And two heads are better than one.’
‘Yes, I agree with vocabulary
of synonyms. Better late than
never.’
During 10
minutes dictionaries were explaining to the girl differences between a big amount of words. When
the witch came back
she was really stunned
because, she didn’t expected that girl will find the solution to that task.
At the end of a
day while dictionaries were going home they were discussing events which
happened during a day. And they agreed that it was quite emotive and exhausted day.
