Dear student!

Dear 2nd year student!
Your first year of studying at Ostroh Academy has
ended. You saw how it is necessary to attend the classes, how it is important
to do your home tasks. I not want to threat you, but, believe me; this year will
not be easier.
When I came to our first lesson of Use of Modern
English I was taken aback.
I saw how many words I should learn by heart; I saw this big amount of books, tasks, creative
work. But this crazy and round
the bend rhythm kept me in a tone. It brought me enormous benefits. Now I can spontaneously make a
dialog using new words and expressions, write a blog for an hour (my first
steps were really hard, because 4 my first blogs took about 2-3 hours.)
Today I don’t want to talk for a long time in order to
keep my and your time.
It is my last post and I would like to give some main tips, how to learn new
words and expressions. First of all, try to concentrate on the subject and try
to excogitate your own associations to each word. Your teacher will help you to
combine everything and will explain some expressions which you don’t understand.
Needless to say
inspiration is also important. For example, I was listening classic music and
was reading some articles which were related to topics about which I should write. Making a dialogs
also one of the main work which you will do. You will need to create the
situation, play your role, and be confident and truthful.
Anyway, I wish you lots of luck, patience and
inspiration because I’m totally
convinced you will need it. If you decided to enter to the Ostroh
Academy, it means that you are original, assertive,
gregarious, broaden-mind, gifted and able to cope with problems. I believe you will be the top of the class because
you will be fast worker who
will never get on everyone’s
nerves. Try to active and creative ( ;DD
)and never give up
on your dreams.

Every year our planet collides with a big amount of
problems. Unfortunately, our society has a tendency to be indifferent and quite inconsiderable concerning our environment. It is my fair conviction that we should change our ways before it’s
not too late. There are some problems on the surface that people usually don’t detect. I
want you to demonstrate top 4 problems environmental problems of nowadays life
and their solutions.
1. POLUTION
Day by day enterprises throw out
more tons of rubbish
which usually emit a
big amount of toxic
substances which cause different incurable illnesses and life-threatening diseases. You may ask the
question: “So what should people do to minimize the danger of their lives?” First of all,
to stop using of disposable
dishes. Disposal of household waste is also necessary.
Secondly, try to prevent the pollution of water. Needless to say we should drink 2 liters of water each
day. And now just imagine that that water which we consume full of alumina, phenol and arsenic
and other toxic elements.
2. DEFORESTATION.
Cutting down the trees can cause a desertification which can cause a drought. Also, lots of animals will be deprived of
their homes., that can cause extinction
of endangered species.
So, prevention of this problem is, also, important, because forests enrich the
whole land and lack of them can cause unpredictable weather patterns.
3.
ENDANGERED
SPECIES.
Each year hundreds
of animals are under the
threat of dying out. Setting up the reservations will help to breed new species and protect wildlife.
4. CLIMAT CHANGES.
It is not a
secret that global warming
is near at hand. Lots of glacier
are melting. It is scary because till 2030 our planet can be under the water,
can be sunk. Scientist try to deal with this disaster, but, unfortunately, they
have not found the solution yet.
To sum up, finding the solution to these eco-disasters will help us to go wander on the
clean land, to breathe clean air, to be absolutely healthy.

Healthy Lifestyle
I’d like to start with a little introduction and
expression of my own opinion in relation to healthy lifestyle and beneficial food. To begin with, it is my fair conviction that
healthy lifestyle it is the opportunity
of lifetime. It is not just exercising and healthy eating (fruits and vegetables), it is not a diet and, I think, you should make a decision whether
it is important for you or not, to be active, healthy and happy. And if your
answer was ‘yes’, you should consider
the option that it would be quite hard.
So, you should take some advices. The first is healthy food. Before
writing this post, I saw the interview
with Julia Ushakowa. She is the Honored master of sports on bodybuilding. Her interview
included information of profitable information for people who want to lose the weight and how
to keep fit. The thing
is, you should have a burning
desire and big
decision, otherwise, you will not achieve results. Julia mentioned that your nutrition should include proteins, minerals, vitamins and even fats and carbohydrates. It is half
the battle. Also, she said that being on a strict diet ( in order to lose weight) is not a necessarily. You
should eat not 2 or 3 times a day, but from 5 till 7. It should be little snacks
during a day. Holding to this advice you will not be starving and fill up. Moreover,
you should cut down
amount of sweets or, even more, pass up the opportunity of eating it.
Next is sport. Regular
playing sports raises a
tone of muscles, speeds up work of all systems of organism, positively
influences immunity,
raising resistibility
to infections and
other diseases. Julia
mentioned that your exercises should divide into 2 groups: cardio namely jogging, star jumping, fitness, and strength building
that is squats, flutters, crunches, lunges and so on. In my
opinion, you should be full of persistence and determination in order not to give in.
During our studying at Ostrog Academy, unfortunately,
we have lack of time
and, even sometimes, have no opportunity to eat twice a day, not speaking about
5 times. And, needless to
say, it influences at us not in a good way. But healthy lifestyle became
more and more popular for the last 10 years. People try to count calories and food with a nutritional value, but, unfortunately,
it is not enough. Some people who usually ones in a while are drinking or
smoking should forget about it forever. Otherwise, there are no sense to play
sport.

REMEMBER, following these simple advices will help you
not only lose weight. So try it and, I am sure, you will love it.
P.S. Do not put off in a black box, summer is around the corner

Connections...
Rebecca
was very optimistic and
fancy person. She
was that type of people who usually look on the bright side of things. She is the most popular girl
in the university and could simply strike up a friendship with everyone. What about her character? Well, Rebecca
is quite determined,
easy-going, sociable and original person, but not ruthless, who can easily
find some time either for studying or for friends. By the way, she was the
smartest girl at the university.
Today
she got up really early because of phone call. 20 years ago her mother gave her a birth. In fact they didn't have
a good relationship with each other. When her parents broke up Rebecca's mother fall madly in love with
John, the man who she met next day after divorcement. She liked John and was happy for her
mother and was definitely sure that they love each other unconditionally. But it was
offensive that she think about her when it was birthday or when she needed
something.
-Hello, my wee girl! Happy Birthday to you! Why are
you not sleeping? You have never taken your time.
-Hey, mum! Happy my birthday to you...
-Still so spontaneous, frank
and generous as you
are.
-Thank you, mum. I'm graceful, but...
-Oh, I have a brilliant idea! What if we will have a
trip to Greece next week? What
do you make of this idea?
-Mum, it's great, but...
-Oh, darling, I need to go. What if I call you in the
evening? Don't be sad! It's your day! Smile! Goodbye!
Rebecca wake up, looked in the mirror. She saw a slim girl with a straight long hair, dark eyes
and red lips. So, stunning girl!
-Oh my God, said Rebecca to herself, - Needless to say you
forgot that it is summer and it is holidays! Oh, mum, you are so naive and forgetful.
Why she said this? Because her mother was not able to
remember that her daughter was at home in her bedroom. AGAIN!
